This pretty, old girl is Missy.

Missy was found on Feb 17, 1997. She had been abandoned in the parking lot of the old Maple Ridge Hotel. She is obviously mostly German Shepherd, with something else mixed in. I posted ads everywhere, contacted the SPCA numerous times, etc. but no one ever claimed her. She got along well with everyone in our family - we had 2 other dogs and 2 cats at that time - so we decided to adopt her. Our vet thought she was about a year old when we took her in, so we've made February 17th, 1996 her official birthday -- she's definitely an old girl now!

She's a great dog -- quiet, easy going, co operative, and loves people. I've been home- preparing her food, nearly all raw, for about the last 9 years, and I believe that's why she's done so well.

We also have 2 cats, brothers adopted from the SPCA. Dexter and Chester. They will be 4 years old this winter. Chester adores Missy and sometimes just will not leave her in peace, but Missy always puts up with him.
